happy sunday, my loves! hang-out-in-bed-and-watch-series day numero uno. i’m not a big netflixer in general, but sometimes (like now), i’m really on a series-watching streak. here’s eight series that i like that i suggest you watch if you haven’t yet:
orange is the new black.
see women (the nice kind, the scary kind, the cute kind, the fierce kind, the trans and queer and gay and straight and religious and fat and pregnant and skinny and pale and sassy kind — ALL OF THEM) do crazy shit in jail. my fav series at the moment!!! can’t wait until june when season 4 comes out.
so sorry about this blurry picture — but this series is from the 90’s so that’s ok. oz is also a prison series, where violence, drugs, rape and murders just go on forever in a perpetual mayhem. if you’ve seen one episode, you’ve basically seen them all. still, it’s somehow impossible to stop watching. also, adewale akinnuoye-agbaje who i have a light crush on plays a major role!
flight of the conchords.
bret and jemaine are the new zeelandish two who make up an amazing music and comedy duo in this musical mockumentary. featuring hits such as the most beautiful girl in the room and hiphopopotamus vs. rhymenoceros.
about the douchy, but oh-so-pretty advertising world in the 50’s and 60s. i don’t really watch this because of the story, but part because of the *educational* and *historical* aspect since i’m in advertising, and part of everyone’s FLAWLESS looks.
master of none.
i love aziz ansari! this first season of this series is just such a lovely and accurate commentary on big city dating in today’s society *can relate*.
i have been slacking lately with watching girls (note to self to start watching it again), but when i did, i liked it so so much. at the same time as being super similar to sex and the city (four new york city gals and their *troubles in life*), it’s totally different. here, the characters are so well-crafted and actually REAL PEOPLE, compared to satc’ stereotypical characters.
sex and the city.
BUT. as to my last point — this does not by means mean that i’m not into satc. even though the story, characters and dialogues are so unreal and *film-like* 90% of the time, that’s what makes this series so charming. teenage nostalgia! ♥
awwww, looking! this series got really good ratings, but was for some reasons cancelled after the second season. 🙁 very sad. it’s however about a bunch of gay people here in sf. i love following these characters! it’s just, you know, life in sf. which, as you know, is my fav thing.
do you have any great series to recommend? for some strange reason (…), i watch a lot of netflix right now, when i should in fact be finishing up my final portfolio and last-ever weeks in my master’s program. strange coincidence, right …? eh.
åtta serier jag tycker så mycket om. tips tips! och om ni har några andra bra tips kan ni väl kommentera? puss!
och! alla bilder kommer från [min pinterest] förresten.
