back to san diego!
this is from last saturday. me and miro went out to the beautiful island coronado and started off with brunch at this place.
and then off to the beach!
look! end of november but feels like summer. <3
except for when we turned around, where this insanity was happening????? *sweden flashbacks*
we hurried away from the ice skating craziness and continued walking in the warm and sunny summer world of the beach.
it was so beautiful and we talked about uni, differences in cultures and the refugee crisis and isis (miro studies political science and islam and is very smart on this topic), and donald trump and racism and other sad things.
and then we came across this sand castle. or, more like sand MANSION. we found out that this guy had been making sand castles for 26 years, and that he makes a new one every weekend (!!).
and so we left the beach and walked towards the north shore of coronado.
the sun was on its way down on our way there …
… and set in just the right time to see the golden reflection on the san diego skyline. so lovely!
and by the time we had taken about 100 instagrammable pics, we were getting hungry. back over the bridge to the mainland!
after having a glass of red wine and prosecco at a wine bar, we met up with alessandro at d bar in hillcrest. HUNGRY PEOPLE 🙂
i had this AMAZING mac and cheese with lobster. oh my godddd
we shared some nutella beignets for dessert, and allessandro ordered cheesecake. OH GOSH what a great day.
